(Tah the) Trickster Tales
Writing Directory

As most of you know, I am a writer. So, I’m collecting all of my writings here in one place (along with some snapshot info on each piece) to help make it easy for people to find and read my things.

Original Fiction

  • Singer saga
    • Singer. 80 chapters. Approx. 158,000 words. Girl/girl romance. Complete as of 12/17/09. In the process of being renovated. “She was a dyke, a headbanger, a pariah. I was perfectly straight, in the chorus, part of the ‘in crowd.’ We did NOT speak to one another. Ever. Up until our science teacher paired us up for a project… great.” Won first place in Best Femmeslash on the now-defunct “Looking at the Stars” Slash Fiction Awards. Nominated for Best Slash in the “Some Kind of Wonderful” Romance Awards.
    • OneGirl. 73 Chapters. Approx. 155,000 words. Girl/girl romance. In progress. “Being in love is hard. Really hard. Especially when you’re not sure whether you want to kiss her or smack her upside the head.” Sequel to Singer.
    • Distinctly Unfeminine. 2 Chapters. Unknown word count. Girl/girl romance. In progress. Hiatus. Prequel to Singer.
  • Nightclaw Saga
    • Stray. One-Shot. 2,410 words. Written as partial backstory for roleplay character. Complete. “She figured that the old-timers were all betting on her, while the new men were betting on her opponent. They, after all, had yet to see her fight. They were assuming that no woman could beat a man in combat. Yeah, right.”
    • Disillusioned. 5 Chapters. Approx. 12,500 words. Written as complete backstory for roleplay character; prequel to “Stray.” In progress. “I was 13 years old when I lost everything. It was such a young age to lose everything: barely not a pup - barely not an adult.” Trigger warnings for near-rape in first chapter.
  • Le LoupGarou. 12 Chapters. Approx. 20,500 words. Girl/girl romance; supernatural; comedy; drama in more recent chapters. “Lexi: a sarcastic teenage werewolf with a penchant for perversion. Julia: a self-proclaimed nonlethal slayer who would rather strangle her latest case than cure her. Isn’t it funny how things like that work out?”
  • The Masquerade. 11 Chapters. Approx. 20,100 words. Girl/girl pairing; supernatural; BDSM and harem themes. “When Anessa hooks up with a friendly woman at the Masquerade, she finds herself thrown into a lifestyle that she doesn’t want, with someone she can’t stand. But she finds it extremely easy to fall for her captor…” Hiatus.
  • Moment of Weakness. One-Shot. 2,922 words. Shits-and-giggles NON-CANON crossover of Singer and The Masquerade. “When Jessie has to go out of town for the weekend, Rachel tries to keep herself entertained. However, she quickly becomes bored - at least, until a woman offers to keep her company…” (Not included in the Singer Saga because it is not canon.) Will probably be deleted.
  • First. One-Shot, rewritten. 5,553 words total. Smut scene that was clipped from Singer due to Singer’s “T” rating. Earliest ever attempt at writing smut. Set to be re-rewritten. (Not to be included in the Singer Saga until it is re-rewritten.)
  • Author’s Note. One-Shot. 1,033 words. Shits-and-giggles drabble that references Singer canon but is not part of Singer canon. “Just a quick look inside the mind of the author.”
  • A Collection of School Stories. 2 (unrelated) Chapters. 3,174 words. A handful of written school assignments.

Fan Fiction

  • My Only Friend. 1 Chapter, may be continued. 1,041 words. “Hambo was her only friend for a long time. That was fine with Marceline. He did make for a good friend, after all.” Written as a possible Marceline backstory.
  • Fort. One-Shot. 2,283 words. Bubbline fluff-fic. “”Fair warning, though, I haven’t built a fort since…I dunno. Not in the past thousand years, for sure.” “Well, you were certainly overdue for it, then,” Bubblegum determined. Marceline snorted. “If you say so.”“
